Overview of iPads in the Classroom
There are many benefits of having access to iPads in elementary classrooms. One aspect of iPads that is a benefit to teachers is that it appeals to all types of learners. There are a variety of apps that teachers can access to meet the needs of students with a variety of learning styles. When students use iPads to learn or practice work it helps them feel connected to what they are doing. They feel instant gratification when they do their work. Most of the time they get results and feedback immediately which they look forward to and feed off of. Students of any age can use iPads to improve the learning progress. It is simple to use at all levels yet engaging to students of all ages. IPads increases creativity among students because they often have to complete task in an hands on out of the ordinary way. Work can be documented and submitted in simple ways using apps so that students can capture work that otherwise they would not be able to by taking photos.
